Government Records
The Minnesota FFA (Future Farmers of America) Foundation was begun in 1954 to provide business, industrial, civic, farm and service organizations and individuals in Minnesota an opportunity to cooperate in furthering the programs of the FFA and vocational agriculture in the public high schools. Over the years, the foundation has sponsored such programs as the 1954 silver anniversary film "Boys on the Land," a guaranteed loan project, travel awards to the national convention, improvement certificates and cash awards, annual recognition luncheons for donors at the state convention, several agricultural scholarships, State Farmer Degree charms, and budgetary support for most of the programs and activities of the state organization.
They include correspondence, financial records, organizational records, statistics and reports, minutes, news clippings, photographs, annual reports, and related records. The majority of the files were maintained by FFA Executive Secretary, Waino J. Kortesmaki.
