Government Records
The tuberculosis register cards contain one card per individual. They are divided into four sets: suspect cases over 100 years old, cases over 100 years old, cases over 90 years old, and cases who have died. The first two contain very brief information including name, age, address, sex, and sparse entries concerning dates of examination and treatment. The cards for cases over 90 years old, and cases who have died, contain very detailed information including name, age, sex, date reported, diagnostic status, and remarks regarding x-rays, examinations, and treatment. All four sets are in alphabetical order by surname.
The tuberculosis countbooks contain annual listings of individuals with tuberculosis, including name, sex, age, residence, report source; plus related statistical tables. They are arranged within each year by county.
The tuberculosis control project files detail a state-wide program, plus programs in Minneapolis, St. Paul, and St. Louis County, funded by the U.S. Public Health Service. They include narrative and statistical reports, grant applications, correspondence, statistical analysis of tuberculosis case registers, and other reports regarding tuberculosis reporting, treatment, and analysis.
The tuberculosis subject files cover such subjects as displaced persons, accreditation, emphysema, food handlers' examinations, histoplasmin survey, hospital admission X-rays, Indians, industrial, reporting procedure manuals, migrant labor, Minnesota Plan, Hennepin County Chest Clinic, Hennepin County Medical Society, Hennepin County Tuberculosis Association, Tuberculosis Facilities Commission, Minnesota State Medical Association, Minnesota State Medical Society, Minnesota Tuberculosis and Health Association, and Minnesota Trudeau Society/Thoracic Society.
