Government Records
The medical reports and studies mainly detail the sanatorium's research studies of various medications, including several pharmaceutical companies' versions of PAS (para-aminosalicylate), senokot, ULO, and PHT (dilantin). There are also reports of a 1947 application of the Minnesota multiphasic personality inventory to tuberculosis patients, a psychotropic drug utilization review (1989), and four sets of case studies of sanatorium patients (1951, 1953-1954, 1965). The latter do not include patients' names.
The non-medical reports and studies include patient and staff manuals/handbooks (circa 1940-1990), which cover such topics as patient and staff rules and regulations, patient care, dietary rules, and laboratory procedures; financial and budget reports and requests (1955-1986); several studies of the sanatorium done by independent organizations (1957, 1959-1960); a study of the nursing home (1977-1978); several visitor handbooks (circa 1980-1989); an energy study (1979); a physical facilities survey (1982); and a disaster plan (1985).
