NHPRC Grant
The Minnesota Historical Society is the recipient of a Basic Project grant from the National Historical Publications and Records Commission (NHPRC) which will significantly support the cataloging of the Society's unprocessed archival collections. The project targets 4,600 cubic feet of government records and manuscript collections and kicked off this month with the arrival of staff members Shelby Edwards, Meagan Kellom, and Alex Kent.
We are currently working on additions to the papers of Gerald Heaney, records from Ah-Gwah-Ching Nursing Home and the Minnesota Sanatorium for Consumptives, and photographic materials from the Minnesota Dept. of Transportation.
Learn more about the National Historical Publications and Records Commission and how its strategic plan helps support non-Federal institutions like the Minnesota Historical Society through grants.
Newly processed collections are shelved in the archival stacks.
