New to the Minnesota Historical Society's collections this month are photographs from the Agriculture Department. The photographer, Richard Tretsven, worked for the Department of Agriculture from the 1950s until the 1980s and documented numerous events that the department participated in during this time span. Topics include awards ceremonies, dairy plants, farms and tree nurseries, wild rice and maple syrup harvesting, and beehives. This picture shows the 1967 Minnesota Honey Queen at the State Fair.
