What's New -- March 2021

Shelving in A-205 While we were on furlough, a project took place that added a significant amount of shelving to our storage space here at the History Center. We had almost filled up our space before Covid hit. When we got back we had some brand new shelving to keep us going hopefully for the next 5+ years! The brand new accession of Le Sueur County court records seen in the picture is the first collection to grace the new shelves! Thanks so much to those of our colleagues who not only moved all of the boxes on the existing shelves to make space for the workers to do their job, but also who continue to put pieces of shelving together for us and do walk-throughs in all of our buildings while many of us are still working from home. They also make sure that our spaces and our collections are safe from leaks, break-ins and many other potential hazards.

THANK YOU to Dan Cagley, Todd Topper, Jason Onerheim, Charlie Rodgers, Perry Schussler, and all the other people that we do not always see who are making sure that our buildings remain safe and functioning through all of this. We really really appreciate you!

In honor of the recent celebration of the festival of Holi this last weekend, we are also celebrating the digitization of videos in the Hindu Society of Minnesota records! Hindu Society
